At Elevate ’26, with thousands of attendees in person and more watching live around the world, monday.com introduced what’s next for its AI workspace for people and agents, built to achieve what neither could alone. Here’s the thinking behind the AI workspace and the new updates you can expect.
Why we built the AI workspace for people and agents
Almost everyone now uses AI tools in their day-to-day work. Our own survey conducted by Nielsen found that 96% of senior business leaders use AI at work, and 94% are excited about using it.
And yet, very few businesses can point to what it’s done for their bottom line. More AI activity simply hasn’t meant more organization-wide impact. Only 13% of CIOs say their enterprise has realized significant or transformational value from AI.
For organizations, three problems contribute to this gap between personal productivity and business value: AI use is siloed in individual accounts so organizational context gets lost; data access and tool usage aren’t governed; and cost is challenging to manage and predict.
Our AI workspace is built to turn AI into tangible business value. Four principles guided us in building it:
- AI that’s for everyone. Getting started with AI shouldn’t take expertise. Sidekick, your own personal assistant, is all set to help you. Ready-to-use agents and Vibe apps, built by industry experts, are available from day one. Describe what you want, and monday will walk you through the rest. Or build your own!
- AI that empowers your whole organization. AI creates the most value when shared across the business. Agents work where and how your whole organization works, like any other user. Bring in agents from any platform and manage them alongside your monday.com agents. Agents built by any team are available to everyone in the organization through the agent directory.
- AI at its best, fueled by your work. Your business context is natively built into monday, so there’s nothing to prepare. Integrations connect the rest of your work, so your context supports the entire workspace.
- Governed AI for your most important work. AI does the work, you make the call. You choose what AI can access, down to a single board or Slack channel, and nothing is accessible by default. You decide where you stay in the loop and what AI can do on its own. You control the spend: set limits for every user, get alerted before a budget runs out, and see where credits go.
When everything is in one place, the value compounds. That is the real value of the monday.com AI workspace.
People lead, agents act. It’s not only about more productivity. It’s about changing what you can achieve as a company.
