There are three types of certifications you can earn: the core builder certification, the AI builder certification, and the sales CRM certification.
No prior experience is required for the core builder certification. The advanced builder certification is intended for those with at least one server-side language (Node.js is recommended) as well as one language for building client-side web apps (React is recommended). Experience with graphQL helps but is not mandatory.
To start, certified monday.com builders will become experts in implementing and building out monday.com workflows. As they develop, they can gain hands-on, practical organizational and business management skills.
Once you purchase the course, you will receive a link to the lessons by email. You’ll be able to access the lessons, quizzes, and exams for 90 days.
Each certificate comprises three badges covering three different areas of expertise. Please note that in order to receive certification, you must complete all three badges and pass the final exam.
The monday.com builder certification lessons are online and self-paced, including both text and interactive videos. The quizzes throughout the course and the final exam will be multiple choice.
No, you’ll need to complete the entire certification course and pass the final exam to receive a monday.com builder certificate.
To become a certified monday.com builder, you must receive a 90% or higher on the final exam.
Your certification will be valid for 12 months. After that, you can renew your certification for another year. Please note that you’ll need to retake the exam at a discounted $120 cost.
monday.com Work OS is constantly evolving, and we want to make sure you’re an expert in the platform. After 12 months, you’ll have the opportunity to keep your knowledge sharp and up-to-date.
You can retake the final exam as many times as you need within the allotted 90 days, and it will change each time. If you don’t pass the exam, you will need to retake the course. You may request an extension beyond the 90 days, but these extensions will only be granted on a rare, case-by-case basis.
Unfortunately at the moment, once you start the course we do not have an option for refunds.

Those who pass the final exam receive an official monday.com builder certificate which they can display on their professional profiles.
Once you earn your certificate, you’re all set to serve as the monday.com expert within your company, or get hired as a freelance implementer for other companies. Certified monday.com builders can get matched with NGOs in need to gain implementation experience.
