FP&A Compensation Expert

We are looking for an experienced FP&A Compensation Expert to take full ownership of labor cost and compensation management across the organization. This role sits at the intersection of Finance, HR, Payroll, sales and is responsible for driving end-to-end planning, forecasting, analysis, and execution alignment for all compensation-related activities (salary, bonuses, commissions).

This is a highly impactful role with direct exposure to senior leadership, including the CFO and HR leadership, and requires both strong analytical capabilities and a deep understanding of compensation structures and business drivers.

  • Own the end-to-end labor forecasting and budget process by delivering ongoing updates for headcount and all compensation components, while also leading the annual planning cycle to define key compensation assumptions aligned with business growth.
  • Manage and analyze all commission-related processes, including forecasting, validation, and quarterly performance analysis presented to leadership
  • Own the monthly bonus accrual process, ensuring accurate financial recognition of all variable compensation (commissions, SPIFFs, long-term incentives)
  • Reconcile monthly labor actuals against budget and forecast, presenting variance drivers and KPI insights
  • Build and maintain a cash forecast for labor costs, ensuring full visibility into payment timing and liquidity impact
  • Take full ownership of cross-functional labor systems (HR, Payroll, Finance), maintaining and scaling the Pigment budget model to guarantee the accuracy of all financial outputs.


Your Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A / Finance roles, with strong exposure to labor cost,compensation and HC planning
  • Deep understanding of compensation structures, including commissions and incentive plans
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
  • Experience working with planning tools (e.g., Pigment, Anaplan, or similar)
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Finance, HR, Payroll, and Sales stakeholders
  • High attention to detail with the ability to connect data to business insights

  • Strong communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership
