We’re looking for a strategically-minded, technically fluent AI Lead to shape and accelerate how AI is adopted internally across monday.com -transforming our core operations.

This role sits under the CIO department, at the intersection of architecture, strategy, systems, and innovation - ideal for a senior technology leader who wants to apply AI not just as a tool, but as a lever for transformation.

You’ll work cross-functionally to identify high-leverage opportunities, guide architectural and tool decisions, and embed AI agents and intelligence into the fabric of how we operate. This role is for someone who knows how to move from ideas to implementation, with credibility in the room with both engineers and executives.

  • Define and drive a company-wide AI adoption strategy, balancing quick wins with long-term impact. Focus on proving value early through measurable efficiency gains, while building toward scalable, intelligent systems.
  • You’ll build a portfolio of high-value use cases across departments — mapping opportunities, prioritizing by impact, and scaling what works.
  • Design and implement AI-powered workflows and agents in close collaboration with engineering, data, and infrastructure teams, with an eye toward performance, reliability, and real business utility.
  • Partner with business leaders across departments to surface use cases, shape product vision, and align on priorities for AI integration.
  • Train and deploy intelligent agents to enhance or replicate ideal employee behavior within targeted functions — operationalizing institutional knowledge and decision-making patterns.
  • Evaluate and guide AI platform/tool selection, balancing flexibility, efficiency, scalability, and security.
  • Stay deeply engaged in the AI ecosystem, maintaining a strong POV on emerging trends, model architectures, vendors, and tooling.
  • Drive cross-company enablement and AI fluency by building internal communities such as guilds, champions networks, and onboarding paths, ensuring AI knowledge, experimentation, and adoption are distributed and scalable.

Your Experience & Skills

  • You’ve held senior technical leadership roles (e.g., CTO, Chief Architect, Head of AI/ML) and have experience scaling systems, teams, or technologies across complex organizations.
  • You have a strong grasp of modern AI technologies- including generative AI, LLMs, and agents- and know how to guide their real-world application at scale.
  • You think in systems, not just solutions- fluent in architecture and technical strategy, with a focus on outcomes, not day-to-day coding.
  • You bring a product and innovation mindset, naturally spotting high-leverage opportunities where AI can drive breakthrough value.
  • You’ve led cross-functional, high-impact initiatives, aligning engineering, data, operations, and business leaders toward shared outcomes.
  • You understand that AI adoption is as much about people as tech, and you’ve built internal enablement programs (like champions, guilds, or training tracks) to drive engagement and scale adoption.
