Bookkeeper Team Lead

Tel-Aviv, IL We׳re looking for a highly motivated, dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper Team Lead to join our growing accounting team. In this role, you will manage the company's accounts payable process, ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices, support the month-end close accrual and reconciliation process, and maintain strong vendor relationships. You will work closely with the Controllers team and other departments to streamline processes and implement best practices that support our financial operations. Your expertise will be critical in maintaining financial accuracy and efficiency.

In this role, you will manage the company's accounts payable process, ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices, support the month-end close accrual and reconciliation process, and maintain strong vendor relationships. You will work closely with the Controllers team and other departments to streamline processes and implement best practices that support our financial operations. Your expertise will be critical in maintaining financial accuracy and efficiency.
- Lead, coach, mentor, and build the team; take an active interest in their career and development and find ways to continue their growth and development.
- Responsibility for local regulatory submissions to tax authorities in Israel on a monthly and annual basis.
- Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Streamline and optimize accounts payable processes, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency.
- Develop and maintain metrics and reports to track team performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Handling the AP invoices for local and foreign vendors, vendor reconciliation, communication with procurement and budget owners, record invoices against POs.
- Ensure proper documentation for all invoices, purchase orders, payments, etc. incl. their appropriate approvals.
- Work closely with various stakeholders within Finance and across the company to identify problems, process gaps, and propose reasonable and creative solutions to improve processes, including efficiency opportunities.
- Review monthly closing routines (accruals, bank reconciliations, prepaid, open PO analysis, etc.)
- Conduct ongoing BS accounts reconciliations including closing entries and cut-off accounts
- Review Fixed Assets records of the company
- Prepare materials and reports for monthly closings and quarterly external audit
- Ad-hoc tasks as required
- Certified bookkeeper – Minimum level 3
- At least 20 years of experience working in global companies with several business units and a multi-currency environment
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and managing change in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable systems, accounting principles, and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams while fostering cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience in a publicly traded global Hi-Tech company – an Advantage.
- Experience in Netsuite
- Strong Excel skills
- High-level of English (writing, reading, and speaking)
