Engineering Team Lead (WorkTools)

The Worktools group is a platform group, which develops product infrastructures and building blocks that power the monday suite of products, as well as providing tools and frameworks for both internal and external developers.

We’re looking for an Engineering Team Lead to lead our Widgets Core team — the team responsible for the foundational infrastructure behind monday.com’s dashboards. This team builds and maintains the widget platform that powers flexible, modular, and data-rich experiences used by millions of users worldwide.As a Team Lead (Engineering Manager), you’ll be responsible for people managementtechnical leadership, and strategic execution. You’ll lead a group of strong engineers, helping them grow while driving the team toward high-impact goals. Together with your partners in product and design, you’ll shape the team’s roadmap, define its long-term vision, and solve complex challenges around scaleperformance, and access.This is a hybrid role that blends technical depth with team leadership — ideal for someone who thrives on building high-performing teams, cares about developer and user experience, and wants to drive platform impact at the heart of monday.com.

  • Lead a team of talented engineers building one of monday.com’s exciting domains.
  • Work with product and design to build robust services and amazing user experiences. 
  • Be a key member of the group’s leadership forums and oversee employee development and growth.
  • Our stack - Node.js, Ruby On Rails, ReactJS, K8s, AWS, Redis, MySQL. We operate in microservices and microfrontends environments, enabling quick cycles to production.

Your Experience & Skills

  • Experience in managing a team and leading projects hands-on from start to finish
  • Experience building web applications from scratch in a production environment
  • Passion for both client-side and server-side development
  • Team player, strong communication skills, empathetic, and someone who thrives working in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for users, their needs, and their requirements
  • Passion for data, experience with looking into performance and usability data
  • Degree in Computer Science (not a must; we're always looking for super-talented people)
