{"id":7108,"date":"2024-08-04T11:53:31","date_gmt":"2024-08-04T11:53:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/monday.com\/l\/?p=7108"},"modified":"2024-08-04T11:53:31","modified_gmt":"2024-08-04T11:53:31","slug":"monday-com-japans-appi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/monday.com\/l\/privacy\/monday-com-japans-appi\/","title":{"rendered":"monday.com &#038; Japan\u2019s APPI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Japan\u2019s Act on the Protection of Personal Information (<b>APPI<\/b>) provides a privacy protection framework for handling the personal information of individuals in Japan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How does monday.com comply with the APPI?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>monday.com does the following to comply with the requirements of the APPI:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Regularly reviewing and updating policies and procedures to ensure our privacy program remains appropriately targeted and fit for purpose, including in relation to new laws and regulations established in Japan.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring transparency around our processing of personal data, the purposes of our processing activities and the legal bases upon which we rely for such processing, including via our <a href=\"https:\/\/monday.com\/l\/privacy\/privacy-policy\/\">Privacy Policy<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/monday.com\/terms\/candidates\">Job Candidate Privacy Notice<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Notifying customers when any substantive changes are made to public-facing policies to align with updated data handling practices.<\/li>\n<li>Having procedures for handling data subject requests and enabling individuals to access their privacy rights.<\/li>\n<li>Having procedures for dealing with actual or suspected data breaches, including in relation to investigations and notifications.<\/li>\n<li>Providing regular privacy training for all relevant members of our staff.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring appropriate contractual terms are in place to perform our role in relation to personal data under Japanese law.<\/li>\n<li>Embedding a robust vendor onboarding process and requiring all vendors to comply with relevant data protection obligations, including those offshore.<\/li>\n<li>Implementing robust security practices in line with industry practices and internationally recognised security certifications.
