What is a lead?
A lead is anyone you're messaging about a potential project, and anyone who's submitted a proposal request that you have not yet approved. You'll find all your leads as well as communication you've had with them in your inbox.

A project is a lead request that is currently in-progress on your end.

When is a project created?
A project is created once the lead has made the payment. By that point, you'll have spoken to the lead about the details of their project and sent an official proposal. Once the lead makes the payment, their status should be changed to "Closed won" and you can get started on the project.

What is the flow of a project?
After speaking with a lead and deciding to move forward, you'll send an official proposal. Once the lead has made the payment, their status changes to "Closed won". Once you've sent them the finalized project, the lead status will change to "Post-delivery".

What are the different lead statuses and what do they mean?
Incoming → A new lead has messaged you
1st message sent → You've started a conversation with a lead
Proposal sent → You've spoken to a lead about their project and have sent them an official proposal
Closed won → The lead, now customer, has accepted your proposal and made the payment
Closed lost → The lead accepted another expert's proposal and they are no longer a lead of yours
Not qualified → The lead or project doesn't fit your price rates, services, etc. and you've decided not to work on the request
Ghosted → After 7 days, if you haven't communicated with the lead they turn into a "Ghost". If the user reaches out again, their status will change to the last status they had.

How do I get paid?
When you onboard as a monday.com expert, you set up a Stripe account that automatically syncs with monday.com and is the most seamless form of payment for both experts and customers. If you need to process payments through a different vendor, please speak to the experts admin.

How do I find an expert?
You can find an expert directly on our monday experts homepage. Browse through the catalog or head to the filters, where you can select your preferences (including: type of service, price range, language, and location) to find your ideal expert. Once you've narrowed your options down you can feel free to chat with experts, get proposals for your project, and finally choose the expert that best suits your needs.

How many proposal requests can I send?
You can request proposals from as many experts as you'd like to make sure you're getting your ideal fit in terms of expertise and price range. Keep in mind that you must choose one expert in order to start work on your project.

What happens once I've chosen an expert for my project?
Once you've chosen your expert, you can get started with your project! Provide the expert with a project brief, discuss and clarify any open questions, and let the expert do what they do best.

Our experts are certified monday.com users who have all received full training, passed certification exams, and undergone background screenings by the monday.com team. Each expert has a designated manager on the monday.com team to ensure quality and success. You can also check our experts' profiles for their CSAT reviews.

Most of our experts accept payment via Stripe. If the expert doesn't use Stripe, you can discuss a mutually preferred method of payment.
