What languages can I use to build monday apps with?

The monday apps framework is not oriented towards a specific programming language. That said, our Software Development Kit is built for client-side apps and written in Javascript.

Who can I share my apps with?

You can already share your apps with all the users on the account.

If you want to share your app with another account, you will first need to be invited to the account and then upload your app in the "Developers" section of that account.

In the future, we will allow sharing apps via a link and on our public apps marketplace.

When will I be able to submit my app for the monday apps marketplace?

We are working on building the infrastructure of the monday apps marketplace, and plan to release it sometime in Q3 of 2020.

Will I be able to monetize my app?

The short answer is yes. We don't have specifics yet on how our marketplace will handle monetization. That said, you are already able to independently monetize on your monday.com apps through your own channels.

What is next for the monday apps framework?

We have many plans for apps framework. Some of these include:

  • Set the foundations of our apps marketplace
  • Make our documentation awesome (send us feedback)
  • Build a vibrant developer community
  • Add new feature types to our apps framework

Can I get a monday.com account for testing?

You can use any monday.com account to try out the monday apps framework. If you don't have a monday.com account, you can sign up for a free trial by going to monday.com and signing up with your work email. If you need more time, reach out to our team.

Why can't I see the "Developers" option in my avatar menu?

Since the monday apps framework is curerntly in beta, you need to activate it in monday.labs. If you are using a trial account and don't see the monday.labs option, please reach out to our team and we'll get you sorted!

How do I get help?

If you need further support with our API or apps platform, check out our monday.com community. There are a ton of helpful resources and threads in the community, and it’s a great place to connect with other monday.com users with similar use cases.

The community is managed by members of the monday.com team, but not every topic is guaranteed to get a response from our team.
