That means 82% of these marketers are spending too much time and money managing aspects of their email marketing manually.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Enough convincing! Self-segmentation with link triggers<\/b><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\">If your email marketing tool offers <span class=\"s1\">link triggers<\/span>, we highly recommend using them.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Link triggers are events that are triggered when a link is clicked\u2014and they\u2019re very helpful to activate workflows and automatically segment subscribers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Let\u2019s say that you want to know what newsletter topics your audience is interested in. In your email, you add different interests as texts or buttons (like the example below). Each of these options is a link trigger. When someone clicks on Interest A, this subscriber is automatically segmented. You can then start a workflow with emails that are specifically targeted to Interest A.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Automatic segmentation is a huge time-saver, as you don\u2019t need to bother with manual check-ins, customer surveys, or focus groups. One-click RSVPs (offered by email services such as <span class=\"s1\">MailerLite<\/span>) let email subscribers respond to your invitation with one simple click.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Instead of redirecting readers to a landing page to confirm their participation, they can click directly within the email to RSVP. At the time you sent your newsletter, the reader could be unplugged and offline. When they do check their inbox, your message might have gotten lost in a pile of other unread emails.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">An easy way to <a href=\"https:\/\/hunter.io\/blog\/best-time-to-send-an-email\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">increase your open rate<\/a>? Set up an auto-resend campaign. This feature automatically sends the email again to subscribers who didn\u2019t open it the first time around. You can change the <a href=\"https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/101-email-subject-lines-your-subscribers-cant-resist\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">subject line<\/a> or add a note (or none, or both!) and set the sending interval.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Below you see an example from MailerLite. List upkeep and re-engagement<\/b><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\">The more <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sendx.io\/blog\/email-marketing-database\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">email list subscribers<\/a>, the better? The answer is: not entirely.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">While growing your audience is important (and exciting), the quality of your subscribers is as important as the number of subscribers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Email segments can be used to see which subscribers haven\u2019t interacted with your content. Set a time period, depending on your email frequency, and filter for people who haven\u2019t opened your emails during this time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Then, <a href=\"https:\/\/monday.com\/blog\/work-management\/workflow-automation\/\">create an automated workflow<\/a> that sends this non-active segment a re-engagement campaign. You can choose to send one initial email and a follow-up email shortly after, telling people it\u2019s their last call to take action and remain subscribed. If the answer is no, the workflow can automatically unsubscribe unengaged subscribers. This keeps your email stats high and your costs low.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The example below shows a re-engagement campaign from 9 Clouds. You can create a board from scratch, but in this example we will be using the Email Marketing template. As you can see, the <b>Campaign ideas and requests <\/b>board below already has four automations.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-80523\" src=\"https:\/\/monday.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/image7-1024x571.png\" alt=\"automations\" width=\"1024\" height=\"571\" srcset=\"https:\/\/monday.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/image7-1024x571.png 1024w, https:\/\/monday.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/image7-300x167.png 300w, https:\/\/monday.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/image7-768x428.png 768w, https:\/\/monday.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/image7.png 1220w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">You can open the automation tab on the right side above the board, where it says \u201cAutomate \/ 4\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">These automations do the following:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\">When requests are approved, the item will move to the \u201capproved\u201d group and open a new item in the &#8220;campaign status&#8221; board<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">When a request is not approved, the item will be moved to the \u201cdeclined\u201d group<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Every time there\u2019s a new request, all board subscribers will be notified<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a class=\"cta-button blue-button\" aria-label=\"Get started\" href=\"https:\/\/auth.monday.com\/users\/sign_up_new\" target=\"_blank\">Get started<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Now when you look at the <b>Campaign Status <\/b>board, you\u2019ll see there are two automations already added.
